The AMIC Risk Management Working Group was initiallly called the AMIC Market Finance Working Group and then the AMIC Fund Liquidity Working Group and formed in December 2014 to address industry concerns about regulatory focus on shadow banking. The working group responded to various consultations at European and international level. The group stance has been that a key step in the ‘shadow banking’ discussion was to clarify the type of activities understood under the term ‘shadow banking’. Moreover the AMIC expects that regulatory reforms take into account the current regulatory developments and its impact on the asset management industry; as well as market best practices already in place.
The working group is chaired by
Stephane Janin of AXA IM.
As well as responding to formal regulatory consultations, the AMIC Fund Liquidity Working Group prepares reports reviewing the regulatory and market practices.
