Connecting future leaders with senior members of the ICMA community
Are you looking to expand your professional network and build connections with senior leaders? Would you like to hear more about the career journeys of leading members of the ICMA community?
ICMA Future Leaders (IFL) “Coffee Connection” is an initiative which enables a small group of young professionals to have an open, candid and interactive discussion with a leading figure in the capital markets, as well have an opportunity to meet others within the IFL community.
This Coffee Connection session will be with Andrew Cotter, Director, Head of Compliance at Scotiabank. Andrew was appointed Director, Head of Compliance (PCF 12) of Scotiabank Ireland in April 2023. He joined Scotiabank in
2019 as a Senior AML/ATF Manager, also acting as the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (‘MLRO’).
During his time at Scotiabank, Andrew has overseen the development of the stand-alone AML/ATF function in Ireland, the outsourcing of KYC functions to London & Toronto, and the implementation of the local Financial Crime Committee.
In his current role, he has primary responsibility for overseeing compliance risk management and owns prescribed responsibilities for Conduct Risk, Fitness & Probity and SEAR.
