Event overview
The success of the recent EU green bond deal, the largest green bond to date, together with issues from other EU member states demonstrates dramatically rising demand for ESG related product in Europe and the increasing emphasis on sustainable economic growth.
A panel of stakeholders in this fast expanding market, including major issuers looked at the factors driving its growth, the benefits of issuing sustainable debt and the evolving regulatory environment, with a Luxembourg perspective.
On the agenda was an update on the EU Taxonomy and its application and a review of the disclosure requirements in the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) with the implications of its transparency requirements for asset managers.
