Overview
Annual issuance of cross-border bonds from Asia has increased more than sixfold from USD 107 billion in 2006 to USD 614 billion in 2021.
ICMA published the first edition of The Asian International Bond Markets: Development and Trends in March 2021. This second edition of the report provides global market stakeholders with an updated overview and extends the coverage of the previous report to the end of 2021. The new report also takes a deeper look at regional sustainable bond markets and China market internationalisation.
The virtual event covered the latest analysis and findings from the report and featured a panel of market experts who provided insights into the evolution of the international bond market in Asia over the last 15 years.
