Agenda

Date: 25 July 2024
Time: 4pm - 7pm KST
Venue: Bloomberg Korea Office, 28/F, Mirae Asset CENTER1, Eulji-ro 5-gil, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea

Overview

On June 28, International Central Securities Depository (ICSD), together with the South Korea Government, opened the market’s first omnibus account for Korean Treasury Bonds (KTBs) and Monetary Stabilization Bonds (MSBs), making Korean government debt tradable via the omnibus account.

With this timely market development, we invite you to join us as we bring together the central players in the internationalization of KTBs — including representatives from Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (MoEF), Korean primary dealers and industry partners — to address the most important questions around the development of this market.

Additionally, the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and Bloomberg will present key findings and takeaways from the joint KTB market survey launched earlier this year, which delved deeper into market sentiment and operational practicalities around KTB investment. Beyond the feedback-driven reforms already in play, what other insights does the survey reveal that will help create an environment conducive to investment?

The session will conclude with an open panel discussion, followed by Q&A and networking.

Most of the session will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation service to Korean provided.

Admission: This event is invite-only for both ICMA and Bloomberg. If you wish to register your interest to join this event, please contact Vincci Xiao.
