The Chief Executive is ICMA’s senior executive officer and its public representative (carrying out the executive president’s function pursuant to the statutes). The Chief Executive is an ex-officio member of the board, chairs the executive committee and has overall responsibility for the Association’s executive management. The Chief Executive is appointed by and reports to the board.
Effective September 6, 2021, the board appointed Bryan Pascoe as Chief Executive.
