ICMA’s work in the primary markets, where new securities are issued to raise international capital, is based on a strong legacy from the International Primary Market Association (IPMA), one of ICMA’s predecessor organisations.
Guidance and recommendations on the processes and documentation required for the issuance of international securities can be found in the ICMA Primary Market Handbook (IPMA Handbook).
The key member committees in this area are the ICMA Legal and Documentation Committee, ICMA Financial Institution Issuer Forum (FIIF) and the ICMA Primary Market Practices Committee.
For further information about ICMA’s primary market activities please see the pages in this section or contact Ruari Ewing on +44 20 7213 0316 or Katie Kelly on +44 20 7213 0331.
